Nantucket purses were introduced in the mid-twentieth century and became status symbols among the yachting crowd that meandered back and forth between Nantucket Island and the Riviera. Our designs are classic, with tight cane weave, hardwood tops and bottoms, bone or horn knobs and pegs, handcarved bone ornaments and rattan-wrapped leather hinges and closures.
